For the poor people of Grimsby who have suffered at the hand of this company. I would like to tell you, you are no alone, in the next few months a meeting place will be convened and adverts placed in our illustrious Evening Telegraph advising interested parties who have a genuine complaint against Diamond Cable and are willing to form a group to get these gripes, complaints sorted out, we the group when formed will take all valid complaints after giving Diamond Cable the first opportunity of sorting them out.

 

The approach

I'm open to suggestions at this stage, as when the community is formed it will be their job to reappraise the approach construct a new one.

Consider this! With enough will power and effort mountains can be moved. If you liken Diamond Cable to the mountain e.g. Big, unmoving, and dumb, with enough people in the community this company can be made to reappraise their poorly managed, badly thought out approach to introducing telephone and other cable services to our area.

The life blood to any company is their customers, no customers, no company. I appreciate that this road may be a long one in getting your problem solved, because it appears that an individual cannot stand against a big company, in some sense you may be right to think this way, but what I'm proposing is that all the individuals that have complaints against DC stand together to lobby both Diamond cable, the council and our MP. Don’t forget either, that the people in the council you pay their wages and elected members of any council can be un-elected, that also goes for our MP. People power is something we all hear about, but generally don’t get involved. GET involved in this, because YOU can make a difference.

By helping yourself you will be helping others in solving their problems, some of the people in our community are unable to help them selves, the old, the disabled, the unwell and they could have complaints against DC which for whatever reason they are unable to follow the complaint through to a satisfactory conclusion, as a company like DC rely on YOU giving up.

I have, probably like you never got involved in really taking a company to task. I may feel I should but have never had the time never wanted to make the effort other than to give them a call and rant for a minute or two at the receptionist. But this situation is different. I have tried to get a resolution to a problem I have with Diamond Cable for nearly a year now and their PR is not poor it is non-existent. It took me 3 months to get to talk to someone who knew where the road was I lived in, and to-date their service has been crap. The funny thing is, I can have my problem with this bloody great distribution box sat outside my front door solved, the only slight problem is they want me to pay for the move of the unit. Diamond Cable stick an enclosure outside your front door and want the occupant who was not involved in the placement of this device to pay for it to be re-sited. I have spoken to lots and lots of people and my problem is not unusual.

So lets all get together and do some serious lobbying of all who stand in the way of getting this company to sort out the people of Grimsby's complaints.
